User Agreement

Welcome to PicIDz, a lightweight and efficient ID photo making tool designed exclusively for iOS devices. This User Agreement governs your access to and use of the App and all its features, whether free or premium. By downloading, installing, or using PicIDz in any way, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not download, install, or use the App.

PicIDz is committed to protecting your privacy and providing a secure, user-friendly experience. As a core principle, the App does not require any account registration, login, or provision of personal information to use any of its features. All data processing, including photo uploads, ID photo generation, and feature usage, is handled exclusively on your local iOS device, ensuring your privacy is protected at all times.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using PicIDz, you confirm that you are of legal age to enter into this Agreement and that you have the legal authority to do so. If you are using the App on behalf of a minor, you confirm that you are the minor’s parent or legal guardian and that you agree to these terms on the minor’s behalf, assuming full responsibility for their use of the App. You also agree to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and rules when using the App, including those related to image usage and privacy.

We reserve the right to update or modify this Agreement from time to time. Any changes will be posted directly within the App, and we will notify you of any material modifications via a notification on your iOS device at least 7 days prior to the changes taking effect. By continuing to use the App after the changes take effect, you acknowledge and accept the revised Agreement. If you do not agree to the revised terms, you must stop using the App and uninstall it from your device.

2. App Overview and Usage Rights

PicIDz is a local ID photo making tool that allows you to upload a front face photo, select a standard background color, and generate compliant ID photos quickly. The App automatically completes matting, background replacement, and size adaptation to meet the requirements of daily scenarios such as certificate application, examination, job hunting, and other similar use cases. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use PicIDz on your personal iOS device for your own personal, non-commercial use. This license does not allow you to: (a) copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or sublicense the App or any of its components; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of the App; (c) use the App for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful purpose; (d) use the App to generate ID photos that are false, misleading, or non-compliant with applicable requirements; or (e) interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App or its local processing capabilities.

3. Privacy Commitments

Your privacy is our top priority, and we have designed PicIDz with strict privacy protections at its core. The following commitments apply to all Users, regardless of whether they use the free or premium features:

• No Collection of Facial Information: PicIDz does NOT collect, capture, store, process, or share any of your facial information, biometric data, or facial features in any form. When you upload a front face photo to generate an ID photo, the App only uses the image temporarily on your local device to complete the necessary processing (matting, background replacement, size adaptation) and does not extract or retain any facial data beyond the immediate task. No facial information is sent to external servers, cloud storage, or third parties.
• Local Storage of All Images: All photos you upload to the App (original front face photos) and all ID photos generated by the App are stored exclusively on your local iOS device. We do not transfer, upload, or sync any of these images to our servers, cloud storage, or any third-party platforms. You have full control over these images and may view, edit, or delete them at any time through your device’s photo library or the App’s built-in features. When you delete an image from your device, it is permanently removed and cannot be recovered by the App or any other party.
• No Background Access to Your Data: The App does not run any background processes that access, collect, or use your uploaded photos, generated ID photos, or any other data on your device. Processing only occurs when you actively use the App’s features (i.e., when you upload a photo and request to generate an ID photo), and all temporary processing data is cleared immediately after the task is completed. We do not track your usage of the App, collect usage statistics, or access any other data on your device.
• No Account Required: PicIDz does not require any account registration, login, or provision of personal information to use any of its features. You can access all free features immediately after downloading the App, and premium features (if purchased) are linked exclusively to your iOS device and App Store account (for payment processing only). We do not create user accounts, collect personal data, or associate your usage with any identifying information.

4. Your Responsibilities

When using PicIDz, you agree to assume full responsibility for the following:

• Image Ownership and Usage: You confirm that you own all rights to the photos you upload to the App, or that you have obtained all necessary permissions and licenses from the copyright owner to use those photos. You agree not to upload any photos that infringe on the copyright, trademark, privacy, or other intellectual property rights of any third party. You also agree not to upload any photos that are illegal, obscene, violent, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate.
• Compliance with ID Photo Requirements: The App generates ID photos based on standard sizes and specifications, but we do not guarantee that the generated photos will be accepted by all institutions (e.g., government agencies, exam boards, employers). You are solely responsible for verifying that the generated ID photos meet the specific requirements of the institution for which you are using them. We shall not be liable for any rejection of ID photos by third-party institutions.
• Device Security: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your iOS device and any photos stored on it. We recommend using your device’s built-in security features (such as passcodes, Face ID, or Touch ID) to protect your device and the images stored on it. We shall not be liable for any unauthorized access to your device or photos, or for any loss or damage to your photos resulting from device theft, loss, or security breaches.
• Proper Use of the App: You agree to use the App only for its intended purpose—generating ID photos for legitimate personal use. You shall not use the App for any illegal, fraudulent, or harmful activity, including but not limited to generating false ID photos for identity theft, forgery, or other illegal purposes. You also agree not to misuse the App in a way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality.

5. Free vs. Premium Features

PicIDz offers two tiers of features: free and premium. Free features include limited ID photo generation, access to basic standard background colors, and basic matting and size adaptation tools. Premium features (available via a Premium Subscription) include unlimited ID photo generation, access to all standard and custom background colors, advanced matting and size adaptation tools, high-resolution photo exports, and ad-free usage.

The use of free features is subject to these terms of the User Agreement. The use of premium features is subject to both these terms and the terms of our Subscription Agreement, which is incorporated into this Agreement by reference. If you purchase a Premium Subscription, you agree to comply with both agreements.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All intellectual property rights in and to PicIDz, including but not limited to the App’s code, design, logo, graphics, text, features, and functionality, are owned exclusively by us or our licensors. These intellectual property rights are protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws around the world. You acknowledge that you do not acquire any ownership rights in the App or any of its components by using it. You are prohibited from using any of our intellectual property without our prior written permission.

You retain all intellectual property rights in the photos you upload to the App and the ID photos generated by the App. We do not claim any ownership rights in your photos, and we will never use, share, or distribute your photos without your explicit permission (which we will never request, as all processing is local).

7. Disclaimers of Warranties

PicIDz is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure; that the App will meet your specific requirements; or that the ID photos generated by the App will be accepted by any third-party institution.

We also do not warrant that the App will be compatible with all iOS devices or iOS versions, or that any defects or issues with the App will be corrected. Your use of the App is at your own risk, and we shall not be liable for any damage or loss resulting from your use of the App, including but not limited to damage to your device, loss of photos, or any other direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with your use of PicIDz. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, loss of data, loss of privacy, damage to your device, or any other damages resulting from: (a) your use or inability to use the App; (b) any errors or omissions in the App’s functionality; (c) the rejection of ID photos by third-party institutions; (d) unauthorized access to your device or photos; (e) your violation of this Agreement; or (f) any other cause related to your use of the App.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising out of or in connection with this Agreement or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Premium Subscription (if any) in the 12 months prior to the claim. If you have not purchased a Premium Subscription, our total liability shall be limited to $50 USD.

9. Termination

This Agreement shall remain in effect until terminated by either you or us. You may terminate this Agreement at any time by stopping use of the App and uninstalling it from your device. Uninstalling the App will remove all local App-related data from your device, but will not affect any photos you have saved to your device’s photo library (which remain under your control).

We may terminate this Agreement and your access to the App immediately, without prior notice, if you violate any of the terms of this Agreement. This includes, but is not limited to, using the App for illegal or fraudulent purposes, infringing on third-party intellectual property rights, or misusing the App in a way that damages our interests. Upon termination by us, you must stop using the App, uninstall it from your device, and you will lose access to all features (including premium features, if applicable).

10. Third-Party Services

PicIDz does not integrate any third-party services, plugins, APIs, or tools that collect or process your personal information. The only third-party interaction is through Apple’s App Store for downloading the App and processing Premium Subscription payments (if applicable). Apple’s terms and policies govern the App Store download process and payment processing, and we have no control over Apple’s services or practices. We shall not be liable for any issues arising from Apple’s services, including but not limited to download errors, payment processing issues, or Apple’s privacy practices.

12. General Terms

This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between you and us regarding your use of PicIDz, and supersedes any prior or contemporaneous agreements, representations, or understandings (whether written or oral). If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation between you and us. If negotiation fails, the dispute shall be submitted to the appropriate courts in our jurisdiction for resolution.

By using PicIDz, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to all the terms and conditions of this User Agreement. We are committed to providing you with a secure, private, and high-quality experience, and we appreciate your trust in our App.
